SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's basketball team makes its first appearance inside Cox Arena Tuesday night as it takes on Point Loma Nazarene in an exhibition contest. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.

The Aztecs, who have been picked to finish as high as second place in the Mountain West Conference by select preseason magazines and third by media who cover the league, return five starters and their top eight scorers off a team that finished last year with a 20-13 record and an appearance in the NIT.

SDSU will be in search of its fourth straight 20-win season and fourth consecutive postseason berth in 2008-09 and will have a veteran group leading the way. Of San Diego State's 14 active roster players, 12 have been with programs that won at least 20 games and advanced to the postseason play.

The Sea Lions, meanwhile, come into the exhibition having dropped its season opener on the road at Seattle, 78-65, on Friday night. Prior to visiting Montezuma Mesa, PLNU will take on Northwest University on Sunday afternoon.

Following its tilt with Point Loma, the Aztecs will open their regular season schedule on Saturday, Nov. 15, against UC San Diego at 1 p.m. PT at Cox Arena.

Season and single game tickets for SDSU men's basketball are still available and can be purchased by logging onto GoAztecs.com or by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium Window E. For more information, please call (619) 283-SDSU.
