The San Diego State women's golf squad battled chilly weather conditions in Las Cruces, N.M., for Tuesday's second round of the Price's "Give `Em Five" Invitational, logging a 319 over the 18 holes at the par-72, 6,316-yard New Mexico State University Golf Course. The Aztecs were one of the 12 schools in the 16-team field to post a higher day two total, slipping into 15th place overall at 53-over 629, just one stroke behind 14th place Nevada.

SDSU freshman Malin Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden), who entered the day in a tie for ninth place after a first round 74, dropped into 24th with a 7-over 79. Enarsson was just one stroke better than three of her teammates, as Maki Kamimura (West Covina, Calif.), Stephanie Arcala (Oceanside, Calif.) and Samantha Roberts (Carlsbad, Calif.) all finished at 8-over 80. Kamimura is currently tied for 51st place at 15-over 159, just one stroke better than Arcala and Roberts, who are 16-over for the event and tied for 57th place.

Aztec junior Heather Wilson (Chula Vista, Calif.) was in 36th place after the first 18 holes with a 5-over 77 in her first tournament since fall 2006, but was unable to duplicate the effort, posting an 85 to give her a two-day total of 162.

UC Irvine currently leads the event at 19-over 595, including a second round 302, while Missouri's Julia Potter is the only golfer under par through 36 holes at 2-under 142.

San Diego State will look to rally in the final round on Wednesday morning, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. MST with a shotgun start.
