The San Diego State men's soccer team remained unbeaten in Pac-10 play with a 1-1, double-overtime tie at fifth-ranked California Sunday afternoon in Berkeley, Calif. The Aztecs (3-5-2) are now in sole possession of second place in the Pac-10 with a 1-0-2 record, having played each of their three games on the road, while the Bears are 6-2-4 and 1-1-2 in the Pac-10.

Cal got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 11th minute when Andrew Wiedeman scored off assists from Servando Carrasco and Evan Sassano.

SDSU junior Evan Toft (Aurora, Colo.) answered with a penalty kick goal at the 33:10 mark. Toft, who has a team-best 11 points on three goals and four assists this season, leads all Aztec active players with 24 career points on six goals and 12 assists.

Toft, along with redshirt junior Jamel Wallace (San Diego, Calif./Oceanside HS), sophomore Raymundo Reza (Denver, Colo.) and redshirt freshman Justin Davies (San Diego, Calif./Brooks School (Mass.)) had two shots apiece to lead the offense.

Redshirt sophomore Brad Byrns (Alamo, Calif.) started the game in net and yielded one goal in 44:12 before senior Jorge Rosales (Redwood City, Calif.) took over. Rosales made three saves over the final 65:48 to move to 1-1-1 on the season.
