San Diego State senior Maki Kamimura (West Covina, Calif.) led the Aztec women's golf team for the second consecutive day at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., carding a second-round 77 Friday morning. As a team, SDSU finished with a 315, slipping to 15th place overall at 45-over 629 at the par-73, 6,167-yard University of New Mexico Golf Course.

Kamimura fired a 4-over 77, posting her lone birdie at the par-3 second hole for the second consecutive round. Through 36 holes, she is tied for 31st place in the 90-golfer field at 6-over 152.

Freshman Malin Enarsson (Gothenburd, Sweden) and junior Ashley Wood (Lake Tahoe, Calif.) each finished the day at 6-over-par. Enarsson, who carded a 77 in her first action as an Aztec Thursday, is tied for 49th place with a 156. Woods, meanwhile, improved her first round score by two strokes to move from 73rd to 64th at 14-over 160. Woods' 160 for 36 holes is a career-low by five strokes.

Sophomore Samantha Roberts (Carlsbad, Calif.) also shaved one stroke off her total from Thursday with an 80, while freshman Casey McIntosh (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) rounded out the Aztec starting five with an 82.

Pepperdine and New Mexico are tied for the team lead after 36 holes at 1-over 585, holding a nine stroke cushion over third place UC Davis. The Lobos and Waves are also in contention for medalist honors, as New Mexico's Jodi Ewart is at 5-under 141, followed by Pepperdine's Jayvie Agojo, who is at 4-under 142.

San Diego State enters Saturday's final round just three strokes out of 13th place. The Aztecs will look to make up ground beginning at 8 a.m. MT with a shotgun start.
