SAN DIEGO - With just two more days until its first intrasquad scrimmage of 2008 fall camp, the San Diego State football team practiced for the 10th consecutive day at the on-campus facility on Thursday afternoon. The Aztecs worked out for two and a half hours in warm, muggy weather conditions, ending the session with an extensive period of situational plays.

"I thought the clock management was good today offensively," SDSU head coach Chuck Long said. "We've worked the clock a lot now and have even started it quicker than they would in games to get them [the quarterbacks] used to that. They have done a really nice job of that all camp."

Long also announced the addition to SDSU's fall camp roster of defensive tackle Darias Jones (Gainesville, Fla./Butte College), a junior college transfer, and place-kicker Lane Yoshida (Pinole, Calif.), who was with the squad earlier this year during spring drills.

San Diego State will practice twice on Friday in preparation for Saturday's annual Family Day Scrimmage at Qualcomm Stadium. The scrimmage, which is open to the public and free of charge, is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. PT. Gates open at 1 p.m.
