San Diego State senior Christine Dickson (Fair Oaks, Calif./Saint Francis HS), and sophomores Mary Anne Hinman (Soquel, Calif./Monte Vista Christian HS) and Jamie Hinton (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene HS) have each been named a national scholar-athlete by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

To be eligible for this prestigious award, the student-athlete must be in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility and have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. In addition, the student-athlete must have rowed for the team's eligible boat in at least 75 percent of the spring season with the institution's head coach in good standing with CRCA.

Dickson, Hinman, and Hinton led the Aztecs' varsity boat to a first-place finish in the petite final at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa., a fourth-place finish in the grand finals at the WIRA championships and a grand final appearance in the San Diego Crew Classic.

A child and family development, Dickson owned a cumulative GPA of 3.69, while Hinman (3.80 GPA) and Hinton (3.75 GPA) each are studying kinesiology. .
