SDSU Takes Part In Final Pre-Conference Tune-up
The San Diego State women's golf team will participate in its final tournament before next month's conference championships, as five Aztecs head up north to the Sacramento State Women's Preview Golf Tournament, March 31-April 1.

SDSU playes in its second 54-hole event of the spring at the par-72, 5,819-yard Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Lincoln, Calif. The Aztecs are among 19 teams that will play two rounds on Monday, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

Other schools in the field include four teams ranked in the top 50, in No. 12 Denver, No. 41 Oregon, No. 46 UNLV and No. 50 USF, according to golfstat.com.

The first tee times will be 8 a.m. PT on both days with live stats available at golfstat.com.

Aztecs' Starting Five
SDSU head coach Felicia Brown brings one senior, two juniors, a redshirt sophomore and a true freshman to Sacramento this week.

Senior Kim Carmody (Palatine, Calif.), who posted the top score in last week's dual with Brown, will be playing in her second event this season as a member of the `A' squad. She will be joined by the junior tandem of co-captains Maki Kamimura (West Covina, Calif.) and Jackie Kazarian (Dana Point, Calif.), who has a team-best 79.42 season stroke average in 2007-08. Freshman Samantha Roberts (Carlsbad, Calif.) has been the team's top finisher at each of the last two tournaments, while redshirt sophomore Petra Cole (San Diego, Calif.) had a 77 against Brown last Thursday.
