-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball squad returns to San Diego for the first of two consecutive home games against ranked teams beginning this Saturday against No. 19/20 Utah at 2 p.m. at Cox Arena. The Aztecs have dropped their last two contests after ending the first round of league play on a four-game win streak, falling in their most recent outing at New Mexico on Wednesday, 63-54. SDSU, however, beat both the Utes and next Wednesday's opponent, No. 21/22 Wyoming, last season at home. Utah, which won the first outing in Salt Lake City 74-62, enters Saturday's game coming off a bye earlier this week and is leading the MWC with a perfect 9-0 mark and a 20-3 record overall.
-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the third year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 260-197 in 15 seasons, while she is 179-132 in her 10 previous campaigns at SDSU.
-Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott: Elliott is in her 25th season at Utah. She boasts a school and overall record of 529-210.
-Utah Series History: Utah leads 26-11, but SDSU won for the first time in a decade in the last meeting in San Diego a year ago, 71-66. (Last: Utah def. SDSU, 74-62, on Jan. 16, 2007, in Salt Lake City, Utah).
