SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Lorrenzo Wade had 14 points and Ryan Amoroso had 12 rebounds as San Diego State beat Air Force 49-38 Wednesday night.

With the win, the Aztecs (16-6, 6-2), moved into a second-place tie with UNLV in the Mountain West, one game behind BYU.

Billy White added eight points, six rebounds and three blocked shots for San Diego State.

Air Force's 39-point total was the fewest allowed by the Aztecs in a Mountain West game and the fewest they've allowed at their home Cox Arena.

The previous low was 41 points one year ago to the day against Air Force on Feb. 6, 2007. San Diego State kept Air Force (12-9, 4-4) scoreless through the first 6:42 of the game and led 17-16 at halftime.

The Aztecs went on an 11-0 run over a five-minute span late in the second half after Air Force had pulled to within four points at 36-32 on a 3-pointer by Keith Maren.

Tim Anderson led the Falcons with 12 points. There were six lead changes and five ties, the last one coming at 21-all three minutes into the second half.

The game marked the 266th for coach Steve Fisher at San Diego State, matching the 266 games he coached at Michigan. His record with the Aztecs is 143-123 while he was 184-82 with the Wolverines and won the 1989 national championship.
