SAN DIEGO - GoAztecs.com spent five minutes getting to know Aztec basketball's newest member, Quinton Watkins, Friday evening at Peterson Gym following its two-hour workout in preparation for its next game vs. Air Force at Cox Arena on Feb. 6.
On what it feels like to get back on the basketball court:
"It's great. I feel good. I'm finally able to be with the team practicing and getting to know the guys. It's been great."
On the first couple weeks of school:
"It's been pretty good. I am finding my way around campus pretty good. I am just going to class and enjoying it."
On if he knew any of the players before arriving at San Diego State:
"I knew Jer'Vaughn Johnson, Matt Thomas, Billy White, Tim Shelton and D.J. Gay. I knew them from high school basketball."

"I think coach Fisher is great. He is a great guy. He is always making sure that I am okay. He is always concerned about what is going on and makes sure I handle my business. He got me (to San Diego State)."
On his relationship with the current players on the team:
"It's great. Everybody is cool. I really get along with all of the freshmen since those are the guys I am rooming with right now. So far, everyone has been great. It's just been fun."

"I like to play video games, do a little studying and eat."
