Aztecs Look to Snap Rare Two-Game Losing Streak; Face Colorado State on Tuesday Night in Fort Collins
San Diego State looks to become just the second Mountain West Conference team to claim two road victories on Tuesday night when the Aztecs (14-6 overall; 4-2 MWC) travel to Fort Collins, Colo., to face Colorado State (6-13 overall; 0-5 MWC).

Game time is set for 7 p.m. MT/6 p.m. PT and the contest will be televised by The Mtn. (San Diego Cox Cable channel 320). The game can also be heard on the flagship home of San Diego State athletics, AM 600 KOGO.

On Saturday, San Diego State suffered its second consecutive three-point loss in four days, with a heartbreaking 72-69 defeat in Cox Arena at the hands of UNLV. The loss snapped a 10-game homecourt win streak against MWC foes and ended a streak of 33 straight games without suffering consecutive losses.

The Aztecs were even in rebounds and committed just eight turnovers, two off their season best and one short of the school-record for fewest in an MWC game. San Diego State shot just 42.6 percent from the field, the eighth time in the last nine games, the Aztecs have shot less than 43 percent from the field, and the Rebels connected on 10-of-21 three-point field goals. The Rebels broke a 69-all tie, when Curtis Terry curled off a screen and hit a contested three with 26.2 seconds left. San Diego State had a pair of good looks in the final seconds, as Richie Williams and Kyle Spain were unable to connect on what would have been game-tying shots.

Junior center Ryan Amoroso led the way for SDSU with a team-high 15 points on 6-of-8 field goal shooting. Junior forward Kyle Spain added 13 points and freshman forward Billy White returned to the game following a back injury to contribute 11 points and seven rebounds. Junior point guard Richie Williams added 10 points in 23 minutes of action off the bench. It was the second game back for Williams, who missed the previous five contests with a broken left wrist. Junior forward Lorrenzo Wade's double-digit scoring streak was snapped at seven games, as he scored eight points, but added a season-high and game-high seven assists in the contest.

This is the 60th all-time meeting between the teams, with Colorado State owning a 35-24 lead. In Fort Collins, the Rams own a 22-5 advantage. The series has taken a decidely Aztec turn of late, with San Diego State winning the last two games in Moby and five of the last six games the last two seasons. Colorado State ended SDSU's chances of a repeat title in the Mountain West Conference championship last season, defeating the Aztecs, 69-64, in Las Vegas. Of the five all-time victories over the Rams in Fort Collins, three have come in the last six seasons. SDSU's victories in Fort Collins have come in 1981, 1982, 2002, 2006 and 2007. The Aztecs have never won three consecutive times at Moby Arena.
