Team Notes
* - San Diego State falls out of first place in the Mountain West Conference for the first time this season. The Aztecs are in third place, one-half game behind UNLV and Brigham Young.
* - Coupled with the loss at Brigham Young on Wednesday, San Diego State has dropped consecutive games for the first time since Jan. 20 and Jan. 23, 2007. SDSU had gone 33 consecutive games without suffering two straight losses, the ninth-longest active streak nationally.
* - This marked the second consecutive loss by three points for SDSU (lost at Brigham Young, 59-56). Despite the two losses this week, San Diego State is 5-3 in games decided by three points or less since the beginning of the 2005-06 season.
* - At 14-6, San Diego State has an identical record after 20 games as the 2005-06 NCAA Tournament team. With 14 wins in 20 games, the Aztecs continue to match the best start in the last 23 seasons.
* - This marks the second consecutive game in which San Diego State and its opponent had an identical rebound total.
* - SDSU had just eight turnovers in the game, two off the season low, and the second fewest turnovers in a game this season. It was just one turnover shy of matching SDSU's total for fewest turnovers in a Mountain West Conference in the nine-year history of the league.
* - The San Diego State bench scored 19 points today after accounting for zero points in Wednesday's game at Brigham Young.

Game Flow
* - The Aztecs overcame a nine-point second-half deficit to tie the game at 67 with 1:53 to play and at 69 with 46 seconds to play.

Player Notes

* - Ryan Amoroso (15 points, 6-8 FGs, six rebounds)
The junior center scored a team-high 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting... He reached double figures for the third time in four games, for the ninth time this season and the 18th time in his career... This is the fourth time this season he has led San Diego State in scoring and the second time in three games... He shot 50 percent or better from the field for the third time in the last four games... He has six or more rebounds for the fourth time in the last five games... He is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game over the last five contests.

* - Kyle Spain (13 points, three rebounds, two steals)
The junior forward reached double figures for the seventh straight game, matching his career high streak... It marked the 15th time this season and the 33rd time in his career that he has scored 10 or more points in a contest... Spain had seven attempts from the free-throw line, his highest total since stepping to the line seven times against Navy on Dec. 17... He is 24-of-29 (82.8 percent) from the line over his last seven games... Spain connected on one three-point field goal, to extend his personal best streak of games with a trey to 12... With just one three-point field goal, he failed to sink multiple treys in a game for the first time in four games.

* - Billy White (11 points, seven rebounds)
The true freshman scored 11 points and added a team-high seven rebounds in the game... He was 5-of-9 from the field, marking the third consecutive game in which he has shot better than 50 percent from the field (12-of-20, 60.0 percent during the three-game stretch)... Coupled with seven boards against Brigham Young, White has now pulled down at least seven rebounds in consecutive games for the third time in his career... He has never pulled down seven or more rebounds in three consecutive games... He recorded a steal in the game for the eighth consecutive game.

* - Richie Williams (10 points, three rebounds)
The junior guard played 23 minutes in his second game back following an injury to his left wrist that forced him to miss five games... Williams reached double figures for the fourth time this season and for the first time since Dec. 8 against Saint Mary's... It was his 17th game with 10 or more points... Williams grabbed three rebounds, marking the third straight game the 5-10 guard has grabbed at least three boards.

* - Lorrenzo Wade (eight points, seven assists, four rebounds)
The junior forward failed to reach double figures, snapping a career-high tying streak of seven consecutive games in which he had scored 10 or more points... However, he had a game-high seven assists, accounting for seven of the Aztecs' 11 helpers on the day... Wade's seven assists were a season-high, eclipsing the six he had against San Diego on Nov. 19... It was two short of his career high of nine... He has led San Diego State in assists six times this season in and 11 times in his career... He has posted the highest assist total on the squad each of the last three games, averaging 5.0 apg during that span.
