SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State-UNLV men's basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Cox Arena is designated as Union-Tribune Youth & Family Day. The pivotal Mountain West Conference game is set for 1 p.m. PT and features a great ticket deal for all.
Fans can save 55 percent on upper baseline reserve tickets, which equates to $10 per seat with a minimum purchase of four tickets.
The game will feature two of the league's top teams in San Diego State and UNLV in a Saturday matinee. The Aztecs are currently atop the league with a 4-1 conference record (14-5 overall), while UNLV is tied for second place at 3-1 in league (14-4 overall). In the Mountain West preseason media poll, the Runnin' Rebels were picked to finish in second place and SDSU in a tie for fourth.
San Diego State finds itself in first place despite dropping a narrow 59-56 decision at Brigham Young on Wednesday night. Lorrenzo Wade, the MWC player of the week, led all scorers with 21 points to post his third 20-plus point performance in his last four games. Kyle Spain and Billy White joined Wade in the double-figure scoring column at BYU with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
UNLV visits Montezuma Mesa after defeating Wyoming at the Thomas & Mack Center on Wednesday night. The Rebels, who received a game-high 33 points from Wink Adams, have won two straight with wins over Brigham Young and the Cowboys.
