LARAMIE, Wyo. - The San Diego State swimming and diving team dropped its dual meet with Wyoming by a score of 161-81 on Saturday afternoon at Corbett Pool. The Aztecs fell to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference, while the Cowgirls improved to 4-1, 2-0 MWC.

Senior Ana Dowell had SDSU's only first-place performance as she captured the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:00.21. Freshman Gina DiDomenico also had a solid day coming in second in the 200 IM with a mark of 2:16.66, and adding a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:02.61).

Three other Aztecs posted second-place performances, including freshman Brooke Vessey (100 back), junior Rosalie Raymond (500 free) and sophomore Jessica Morrill (100 breast). SDSU's 200 free relay team of Kyla Power, Vessey, DiDomenico and Katie Leahy also swam to a second-place finish with a time of 1:40.82.

Sophomore Caitlin Atkinson led all Aztec divers as she came in third on both the one-meter (221.02) and three-meter (241.20) boards.

San Diego State will take a break before it returns to action on Jan. 4, 2008, when the Aztecs host both TCU and Air Force. The MWC double dual meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. PT start at the Aztec Aquaplex.
