HAYWARD, Calif. - The San Diego State swimming and diving team captured every event in its non-conference meet at Cal State East Bay, as the Aztecs defeated the Pioneers, 120-76, on Saturday afternoon.

SDSU head coach Mike Shrader decided to make some changes to his lineup, as many swimmers competed in events that they do not specialize in.

"Changing the lineup gives our ladies a chance to try some new things because you never know what they might be good at if they swim the same thing all of the time," Shrader said.

Senior Ana Dowell led the Aztecs with a pair of first-place finishes. Dowell, a butterfly and freestyle sprint specialist, captured the 200 and 500 free on Saturday. Sophomore Kyla Power, who specializes in distance freestyle events, also excelled out of her element, as she won the 100 backstroke and the 100 fly.

The Aztecs will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 8, when they travel to Wyoming for a Mountain West Conference meet with the Cowgirls at noon MT.
