-The Records: San Diego State and Western Michigan square off for the first time in the two schools' history as the squads play in the consolation game of the San Diego Surf `N Slam Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Aztecs are coming off a 59-78 loss to Quinnipiac on Friday, which saw the Aztecs shoot just 31.6 percent from the field, while the Bobcats made eight first-half three-pointers and ended with a 55.4 field-goal percentage. The Broncos suffered an 85-80 loss to Seton Hall despite a career-high 18 points from Amanda Parker and a double-double by Tiera DeLaHoussaye (17 points and 13 assists).

Seton Hall will play Quinnipiac in the tournament championship game slated for 4 p.m.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the third year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 255-191 in 15 seasons, while she is 174-126 in her 10 previous campaigns at SDSU.

-Western Michigan Head Coach Ron Stewart: Stewart is in his 11th year at the helm of Western Michigan and has a career and school record of 149-159.

-Western Michigan Series History: SDSU will play a first-time opponent for the second game in a row. The Aztecs are 3-3 all-time against teams out of the Mid-American Conference.
