-TV/Radio/Stats: The game will be televised live on The Mtn. with Ann Schatz (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd (analysis) calling the action, while Jerry Weinstein is producing. There will be no video streaming for Friday's contest.

-The Records: With a current five-game win streak and an unbeaten record at home, the Aztec basketball team faces its toughest challenge thus far, as San Diego State entertains second-ranked Connecticut Friday at Cox Arena, beginning at 8 p.m. SDSU is coming off its third win of 25 or more points, cruising to a 91-33 victory over Navy on Tuesday in its third of six home games slated for the month of December. At 8-1, the Aztecs are off to their best start since the 1992-93 season, but face an undefeated UConn squad that has notched wins over a pair of top 15 teams and leads the nation six stat categories, including scoring margin (41.6 ppg.).

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the third year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 255-189 in 15 seasons, while she is 174-124 in her 10 previous campaigns at SDSU.

-Connecticut Head Coach Geno Auriemma: Auriemma is in his 23rd season at UConn, boasting a school and career record of 629-120. He is 0-1 all-time versus San Diego State.

-Connecticut Series History: San Diego State claimed the only prior meeting between the two sides, beating Connecticut, 69-64, on Nov. 27, 1987, in a tournament hosted by the University of Maine in Orono, Maine.
