SAN DIEGO - San Diego State women's golf head coach Felicia Brown announced the signing Tuesday of Malin Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Casey McIntosh (Rancho Mirage, Calif.) to National Letters of Intent. The pair will join the Aztecs for the 2008-09 season.

Enarsson attends Katrinelundsgymnasiet high school in Gothenburg, located on the southwest coast of Sweden. She boasts a stroke average of 76.50, and won a California Junior Tour event at Sycuan Resort in El Cajon, Calif., this past September with a 36-hole score of 6-over 150, including a first-round 73.

"Malin's international experience will be a great benefit to us, and I believe her work ethic will set a standard for this team," Brown said. "If she continues to improve her skills, I believe she is capable of making all-conference honors as a freshman."

Enarsson, who plans on majoring in biology at SDSU, was born in Switzerland and spent 2004-05 living in Singapore. She is currently the No. 44 ranked golfer in Sweden and is 12th among girls under 21 years old.

McIntosh is a senior at Palm Desert High School, garnering all-Desert Valley League honors all four seasons. As a junior, she led the Aztecs to the 2006 CIF Southern Section team title and placed fourth overall in the CIF individual championships. This past year, she claimed medalist honors at the Desert Valley League tournament for the second time in her career, carding an 8-over 116 at the 27-hole event.

"Keeping with SDSU's dedication to recruiting from the talent here in Southern California, we are very happy to have Casey join our team," Brown said. "She comes to us with solid experience and a great passion for the game of golf."

A prep teammate of current Aztec junior Alana Erlandson, McIntosh was a member of the winning Southern California team at the 2006 Junior America's Cup, an international event that was played in Oro Valley, Ariz. The 2005 SCPGA Desert Player of the Year, she has won several SCPGA titles and has twice qualified for the Callaway Junior Worlds tournament in San Diego.

San Diego State begins its 2008 spring campaign on Feb. 11, at the UC Riverside Lady Braveheart Classic in Beaumont, Calif.
