TEAM NOTES
* The Aztecs improve to 13-2 in exhibition games in the Steve Fisher era. SDSU has now won 12 exhibition game in a row dating back to 2000.

* SDSU held Point Loma Nazarene to just 53 points for the game after allowing them to score 80 last season.

* The Aztecs forced the Sea Lions into 28 turnovers after PLNU had 15 last year against SDSU. Of Point Loma's 28 turnovers, 14 of them were San Diego State steals.

* SDSU had four player in double-figures. Lorrenzo Wade had 16, Tim Shelton posted 12 and Kyle Spain and D.J. Gay each had 11.

PLAYER NOTES
* In his first action as an Aztec, D.J. Gay had 11 points, two rebounds and a game-high eight assists.

* Another freshman, Tim Shelton recorded 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and four rebounds.

* SDSU's freshman class combined for 23 points, six rebounds, eight assists.

* The Aztecs were led by Lorrenzo Wade, who had a team-high 16 points and 13 rebounds. His double-figure scoring effort is his second straight in an exhibition contest as an Aztec. He also made at least half of his field goal attempts for the second straight year.

* Wade's double-double is SDSU's second in two seasons after not having one since 2004 when Marcus Slaughter did it vs. Point Loma. Last year, Richie Williams had 13 points and 10 rebounds vs. the Sea Lions.

* Kyle Spain, who did not play in the exhibition last season, scored in double figures for the first time in his exhibition career after only tallying eight points as a freshman in 2005 vs. Saint Xavier.
