SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's and women's basketball 2007-08 single game tickets will go on sale Thursday, Nov. 1. Fans can purchase tickets as early as 8 a.m. PT by logging onto ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at (619) 220-TIXS. Those who wish to purchase tickets in person can visit the Aztec Center ticket office or the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium, Window E beginning at 9 a.m. In addition, Cox Arena's box office will have single game tickets available starting at 10 a.m.
The men have a 14-game regular season home slate that includes non-conference tests against UC San Diego, Western Michigan, UC Riverside, Navy, Sam Houston State and Northern Colorado, in addition to their eight Mountain West Conference games.
The Aztecs return seven letterwinners off last year's team that advanced to the second round of the NIT and finished with a 22-11 record. Lorrenzo Wade, an honorable mention all-MWC pick in 2006-07, is back for his junior season as is Richie Williams, the MWC's returning leader in assists and steals. SDSU also welcomes junior Ryan Amoroso, who was named the league's preseason top newcomer.
The women have a 15-game regular season home schedule highlighted by a contest against national powerhouse and preseason No. 2 Connecticut on Dec. 21, and the third annual San Diego Surf `N Slam (Dec. 28 and Dec. 30). Other non-conference opponents set to visit Cox Arena prior to the start of MWC play are Southern Utah, Cal State Fullerton, San Diego and Navy.
San Diego State returns four starters and seven letterwinners off a 2006-07 team that was the 11th-most improved nationally last season. In addition, the Aztecs return four of their top five scorers from last season, including all-MWC selections Shanna Demus and Quenese Davis. SDSU also welcomes the conference's preseason top freshman and San Diego native in Paris Johnson to the team.
