SAN DIEGO - Freshman Julia Trunk continued her run through the main draw as the San Diego State women's tennis team completed the third day of the Wilson/ITA West Regional Championships at Barnes Tennis Center on Saturday.

In her only match of the day, Trunk defeated Samantha Mouly of USD, 6-3, 6-4, to advance to the semifinals. Trunk will square off against ninth-seeded Elena Gantcheva of UNLV, who was a 1-6, 7-5, 6-4 winner over Andrea Remynse of UCLA, on Sunday.

In the consolation draw, freshman Olivia Colman recorded a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Justine Perl of USD, but then suffered a straight-set loss at the hands of UNLV's Katy Williams. Junior Holly Bagshaw cruised past Jill Damion of UC Santa Barbara and will face Maria Sanchez in a quarterfinal match on Sunday.

Two Aztec tandems were still alive in doubles competition on Saturday morning. Bagshaw and Krausova continued their streak with an 8-2 victory over Damion and Asagi Onaga of UC Santa Barbara, but their title run was cut short in the quarterfinals when they fell to No. 1 seed Riza Zalameda and Yasmin Schnack of UCLA, 8-1. Cadua and Trunk, meanwhile, dropped their first match of the day in the round of 16 to USC's No. 6 seed of Amanda Fink and Gabi Niculescu.
