PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - While most of the Aztec women's tennis team took a break from competition after the three-day SDSU Fall Classic, freshman Olivia Colman got right back to work on Tuesday morning in the singles qualifying draw of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

The Los Angeles native, who was able to bypass the pre-qualifying stage because of her standing as the Riviera Club Champion, fell in a first round match to Utah's No. 88 Liz Ferris, 6-0, 6-1.

In her consolation match, Colman was unable to pull off the upset against No. 70 Vanessa Frankowski of Eastern Michigan, dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision.

Colman is now 2-3 in singles play in her young Aztec career.

SDSU will return to action when it co-hosts the ITA Western Regionals at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego from Oct. 18-22.
