SAN DIEGO - GoAztecs.com: How have your first couple weeks of practice been?
Jennifer Wisneski: They've been great; I've gotten a lot of injuries out of the way. I've had everything from pink eye to collarbone problems. It's a good experience to start out with and I'm glad that I'm knocking it all out now.

How about your first couple weeks of class? What is your favorite so far?
Class has been fantastic and fun. It's been an easy transition from high school to college. My favorite class would have to be Recreation 101.

Why did you choose San Diego State? What other colleges were you recruited by?
Michigan State, Cal State San Bernardino, and a few others. Once I stepped onto this campus, I pretty much fell in love. The sports facilities here are great.

What do you think of your teammates at SDSU so far?
All of my teammates are great. They have welcomed me in with open arms. If you work your butt off no one should have any problems with you.

What about the coaching staff?
They're great, they're easy to talk to. They make you feel comfortable and you don't have anything to worry about with them. They tell you everything straight-up and expect you to do your part of the job

What do you think about the getting the chance to play in SDSU Softball Stadium?
Stepping onto the field in college is amazing. After working so hard to get here and then finally making it is just overwhelming. As soon as you step on the dirt all of your problems are gone.

Have you had a chance to play with any of your Aztec teammates prior to coming to SDSU?
No, everybody is new.

Do you think it is going to be hard adjusting to college pitching where the mound is three feet further back from home plate?
No, I think a little more time to see the ball is great.

What position do you see the coaching staff playing you here at SDSU?
Shortstop.

What do you think of the rest of the freshman class here at SDSU?
We bonded so well. Were the freshmen family, we're always together hanging out. I room with another softball player and I feel like she's my sister. Our bond is growing.

Did you play any other sports at Jurupa Valley?
No, I just focused on softball; I didn't want to get hurt doing anything else.

What was your greatest high school softball memory?
I was rewarded first-team all-league every year expect for when I was in a car accident during my 10th grade year. It was great opportunity to come back from the accident and seeing everyone with open arms willing to learn and teach

What club team did you play with?
I played with Miners Gold with (coaches) Rob and Nancy Way.

How did you spend your summer before coming to San Diego State?
Everyday was playing club softball and being invited to nationals. My whole summer consisted of softball.

Which game are you looking forward to most in the upcoming season and why?
No particular game, I'm just ready for the first game. I'm taking one game at a time. Hopefully by next year I'll figure out the teams and the rankings and go for the "big dogs."

What is your major at SDSU?
I'm undecided right now but I think I'm going towards sports medicine or Kinesiology.

What type of music do you listen to?
Everything from metal to old school to country.

What are some of your favorite television shows?
I don't get a chance to watch too much TV. I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. I do like watching the Simpson's, Family Guy and House.

What was the last film you saw at the movie theatre?
The Simpson's Movie.

If you could have dinner with anybody past or present, who would it be?
My family.
