SAN DIEGO - San Diego State's Kraig Chiles (San Diego/Poway HS) has been named to the Soccer America Team of the Week on Tuesday after earning numerous accolades on Monday. Chiles scored three goals over two games to lead the Aztecs past nationally ranked foes California and Stanford to keep their eight-game unbeaten streak intact.

A redshirt senior, Chiles scored twice, including the game-winner in the 48th minute, to help San Diego State past No. 8 California, 3-2, on Friday. He added another tally in the 47th minute of the Aztecs' 2-0 win over No. 21 Stanford on Sunday. The victories ended six-game unbeaten streaks by both the Golden Bears and the Cardinal.

Chiles leads the 2007 squad in points (12), goals (five), shots (39), shots on goal (15) and is tied for the lead with two game-winners. He has now started 50 consecutive matches.

On Monday, Chiles was named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week and the Pac-10 Player of the Week. In addition, Chiles was selected to two national teams - College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer - of the week.

San Diego State (7-2-2, 3-0-0 Pac-10), which is in sole possession of first place in the Pac-10 and is ranked as high as No. 18 by Soccer America, will travel to the Pacific Northwest this weekend for conference matches against Washington (5 p.m. Friday) and Oregon State (11 a.m. Sunday). SDSU is 5-0-3 in its last eight Pac-10 games.
