SAN DIEGO - The Aztec women's basketball squad kicks off its 2007-08 season Saturday morning with its first team practice at Cox Arena.
San Diego State returns four starters and seven letterwinners from last year's team which finished as the 11th-most improved squad in the country, recording the program's most victories since 2000-01. The Aztecs are under the direction of head coach Beth Burns, who enters her third year of her second stint on Montezuma Mesa.
SDSU will have 27 days to prepare for its one and only exhibition contest, Thursday, Nov. 8, against Love & Basketball at 7 p.m. at Cox Arena. The Aztecs then officially open on the road for the third time in the last four seasons when they travel to Nevada for an afternoon match up with the Wolfpack on Sunday, Nov. 11.
