LINCOLN, Neb. - Coming off its first win of the season on Friday, the San Diego State women's soccer team battled the Nebraska Cornhuskers (2-0-2) to a scoreless tie in two overtimes on Sunday afternoon at the Nebraska Soccer Field.

The Aztecs (1-1-2), who scored two goals on Friday, were kept quiet all game by the Cornhuskers with only seven shots and four shots on goal.

Nebraska kept the pressure on SDSU with 24 shots and 10 shots on goal, but the Aztec defense was able to hold off the Cornhusker attack for 110 minutes.

Freshman goalie Aubree Southwick recorded a season-high 10 saves en route to her second consecutive shutout on the road.

Senior Jackie Ragudos and junior transfer Ali Lokanc, who was a Cornhusker last season, were each able to muster two shots and one shot on goal. Senior Jessica Girdner and freshman Britney Bennett recorded the other two shots on goal for the Aztecs.

The Aztecs will return home this weekend as they host Cal Poly on Friday, Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. PT and Cal on Sunday, Sept. 16 at noon PT. Both matches will be played at SDSU Sports Deck.
