SAN DIEGO - On Saturday, Sept. 29 when San Diego State takes on Cincinnati at Qualcomm Stadium, there will be a new voice in the radio booth. SDSU and NFL alum Akbar Gbaja-Biamila will be the color commentator for AM 600 KOGO. With Lee Hamilton sitting in as the play-by-play announcer, Gbaja-Biamila will be filling the analyst void.

"I'm very excited about Saturday's game," Gbaja-Biamila said. "This is a great opportunity for me to broadcast for my Alma Mater. This is something that I want to pursue when I'm done playing football."

A four-year letterwinner at San Diego State, Gbaja-Biamila was an honorable mention all-Mountain West Conference selection as a senior in 2002. He finished his collegiate career with 96 tackles, 12 sacks and 22 tackles for losses.

Gbaja-Biamila has played professionally for the Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, and most recently the Miami Dolphins.
