SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Senior Romy Barber scored her third goal of the season off a rebound with just over two minutes left in the second overtime to give UC Santa Barbara the 2-1 victory over the San Diego State women's soccer team on Sunday night at the Gauchos' Harder Stadium.

UC Santa Barbara extends its unbeaten streak to four games and improves to 3-3-2. The loss is the first this season away from Montezuma Mesa for the Aztecs and drops their overall record 3-3-2.

UCSB got on the board first seven minutes into the game when freshman Brooke Salyer scored her first career goal off a rebound of sophomore Sarah Stolz's header in the front of the net.

The lead lasted until the 65:48 mark in the second half when SDSU senior Jessica Girdner netted her first goal of the season, the sixth of her career, off a feed from sophomore Megan Konishi.

The two teams remained deadlocked until Barber got her game-winning shot past Aztec freshman goalkeeper Aubree Southwick in the right corner of the net. Freshman Kailyn Kugler was given an assist on the play due to Barber corralling and taking her shot after Kugler's initial attempt was blocked.

The Aztecs were outshoot for the sixth time this season, 19-10, with only two of the ten shots reaching the net. Southwick kept SDSU in the game making nine saves for the fourth time in the last five games.

SDSU continues its four-game road trip next weekend when the team travels to the valley of the sun for match ups against Arizona State on Friday and Arizona on Sunday.
