SAN DIEGO - There are still student tickets available for San Diego State's football home opener against Portland State Saturday at Qualcomm Stadium.

The game will be followed by the annual KGB SkyShow, which has produced three of the top four regular season home crowds in school history. This will mark the fourth consecutive year that the Aztecs have played host to the event, with the three previous fireworks spectaculars resulting in an average attendance of 55,626.

The tickets, which are also available for each of the five other Aztec home games, are good for seats located at the East End Zone Plaza and Field Levels of Qualcomm Stadium. Each ticket is free and current SDSU students are entitled to one ticket to every home game with a valid SDSU Student Red ID card.

It is recommended that SDSU students pick up their game tickets at the Aztec Center ticket office, which is open Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., or on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students can also pick up their tickets at the Gate B, F or H at Qualcomm Stadium on gameday.

Family and friends of current SDSU students can sit in the student section for all home football games. The cost of the general admission ticket is $10 and students may purchase up to two additional tickets to each Aztec home game.

In addition, there will be a student tailgate in parking lot E2 at Qualcomm Stadium. The first 1,500 students who attend the tailgate will receive a free meal, courtesy of Vons.

From the tailgate, the students are encouraged to attend the KGB SkyShow Village, which will have various activities, events and music. The student-only entrance is located inside the student tailgate and will run directly into the KGB SkyShow Village.
