GoAztecs.com: What was it like playing at Qualcomm Stadium for the first time last weekend?
Spencer: Playing at Qualcomm last weekend was pretty special for me. It was a really fun experience getting to play in such a big stadium.
GoAztecs.com: How has the transition from high school to college football been?
Spencer: I have been adjusting since I arrived at San Diego State. (College football) is a little different than high school. There's a lot more stuff I need to know and there's more technique required because the guys are just that much better at the college level.
GoAztecs.com: What is your greatest high school football memory (at Cimmarron-Memorial High)?
Spencer: My greatest high school football memory is winning games, but the one game that really stands out is the one we won to get to the (Nevada) state semifinals my junior year.
GoAztecs.com: What do you miss most about your hometown?
Spencer: I will mostly miss hanging out with my friends and family.
GoAztecs.com: What is your favorite thing about San Diego?
Spencer: I really like the weather.
GoAztecs.com: Did you play any other sports in high school?
Spencer: I wrestled and threw the shot put for the track and field team.
GoAztecs.com: What was it that made you choose to continue with football rather than other sports you played?
Spencer: Well, football is definitely my favorite of all the sports that I competed in and I received a scholarship to play here at SDSU, so it wasn't really a difficult decision to give up wrestling and track and field.
GoAztecs.com: What type of music do you like?
Spencer: I really like rock and roll and country music. I will pretty much listen to everything, except for rap.
GoAztecs.com: Do you have a favorite band?
Spencer: My favorite band is Black Label Society.
GoAztecs.com: How did you spend your summer before coming to San Diego?
Spencer: I actually spent my summer here at San Diego State. I was taking summer classes and working out with the team.
GoAztecs.com: Do you know what your major will be?
Spencer: No, I'm still undecided on a major.
GoAztecs.com: Do you have a favorite NFL team?
Spencer: I like the Green Bay Packers. They were my favorite team when I was little because I liked their colors.
GoAztecs.com: Who did you look up to as a football player growing up?
Spencer: I looked up to my brother because he always worked hard. He played at Minot State in North Dakota.
