For the second straight year, the San Diego State softball team will play all of its fall games at SDSU Softball Stadium, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced on Wednesday. The busy schedule will once again be highlighted by the All-San Diego Fall Tournament in early-November and the annual alumni game to conclude the fall season on Nov. 17.
The Aztecs kick off play on Oct. 26 with a game against Cypress CC and play Azusa Pacific the following day (Oct. 27).
On the first weekend of November, SDSU plays host to the All-San Diego Fall Tournament. Six schools from the San Diego area are scheduled to compete including the Aztecs, San Diego, UC San Diego, Point Loma Nazarene, Palomar CC and Cal State San Marcos.
San Diego State plays three more contests over the next two weekends before the alumni game, including games against Santiago Canyon College (Nov. 9), Mt. San Antonio CC (Nov. 10) and Fullerton CC (Nov. 16).
The alumni game is slated for a 1 p.m. start on Nov. 17.
Admission to all fall softball events are free and the games do not count towards the 2008 season record.
