San Diego State held its weekly media conference on Monday featuring members of the baseball team and coaches from women's water polo, women's tennis and women's track and field teams.

For the third consecutive year and the fifth time in the last six seasons, SDSU earned an NCAA Tournament bid. The 49th-ranked Aztecs (14-11) will square off against 17th-ranked Florida State (15-7) in the first round on Saturday, May 12, at the Los Angeles Tennis Center on the campus of UCLA. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. PT. The winner of Saturday's match will take on the victor of the UCLA-Quinnipac match on Sunday, May 13, starting at 3 p.m. PT. San Diego State will make its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament this week when it takes on Loyola Marymount in a first-round game on Friday, May 11, beginning at 6:45 p.m. PT at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, Calif. The Aztecs (28-8) are seeded fourth in the eight-team field, while the Lions (26-5) earned the fifth seed. San Diego State plays host to the 2007 Mountain West Conference outdoor track and field championships, May 9-12, at the SDSU Sports Deck. The four-day meet returns to Montezuma Mesa for the first time since the 2001 season. The women's heptathlon and men's decathlon will be contested on Wednesday and Thursday, while the field and running events are slated for Friday and Saturday.
