AZUSA, Calif. - San Diego State sophomore Kristin Olafsdottir set a pair of season bests in the heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays in Azusa, Calif. Olafsdottir tallied 3,080 points after four events and currently finds herself in ninth place out of 17 competitors.

The Reykjavik, Iceland, native began the day by completing the 100-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 14.08 seconds, surpassing her previous best mark of 14.19 established at the Cal-Nevada Championships last month.

Later in the high jump, Olafsdottir cleared a height of 5 feet, 3 inches to rank first on SDSU's 2007 outdoor performance list.

In the third of four scheduled events, the sophomore threw 34-9 in the shot put and followed it with a season-best effort of 25.86 in the 200-meter dash to put a lid on the day's activities.

Olafsdottir will look to improve her standing tomorrow, Thursday, April 12, when the heptathlon continues beginning with the long jump at approximately 1 p.m. PDT. The javelin and the 800-meter run will wrap things up at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.
