SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team completed its first of four weeks of spring drills Friday afternoon at the on-campus practice facility. After two days without pads, the Aztecs donned them for the first time in spring ball, working out for three hours in cool conditions on Montezuma Mesa.
"It was a good (full) padded day - a lot of spirit and everyone was ready to pop," SDSU head coach Chuck Long said. "There were good things on both sides of the ball. It was pretty even between the two groups out there."
The team will take the weekend off before regrouping next Tuesday for their fourth Spring workout. The practice is scheduled to be the Aztecs' first day of tackling.
