-The Records: After losses by both teams earlier this week, San Diego State and Brigham Young meet Saturday in a 2 p.m. (MST) game at the Marriott Center, as the 2007 conference regular season nears its end. The Aztecs have their final opportunity to gain their first MWC road win since 2005, as SDSU looks to avenge a 54-49 loss to BYU back on Jan. 25. The Cougars are the only conference team to have beaten the Aztecs at Cox Arena this season. San Diego State is currently at .500 on the year with a 12-12 overall record and a 5-8 mark in league action, which is good for a tie for sixth place with UNLV in the current conference standings. The Cougars remain in first place, a half-game up on Utah, with a 10-3 league mark and are 19-7 overall in 2006-07.
-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the second year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 247-184 in 15 seasons, while she is 166-119 in 10 campaigns at SDSU.
-BYU Head Coach Jeff Judkins: Judkins is in his sixth season at BYU. His school and overall career record is 122-59.
-BYU Series History: Brigham Young leads the overall series, 23-9, including a 12-2 mark in Provo. (Last: BYU def. SDSU, 54-49, on Feb. 25, 2007, in San Diego, Calif.).
