-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team finishes the first round of Mountain West Conference play Wednesday with its second consecutive road game at New Mexico at 7 p.m. at The Pit. The Aztecs, who fell at TCU on Sunday afternoon 83-57, are looking to stay above .500 by claiming their first victory over the Lobos since 2001. SDSU is currently seventh overall in the league standings with a 2-5 mark, but has boasted a lead of five or more points in six of the seven outings. New Mexico enters the game at 13-7 overall, including a 3-4 record in league action with wins over Air Force, Colorado State and UNLV.
-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the second year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 244-181 in 15 seasons, while she is 163-116 in 10 campaigns at SDSU.
-New Mexico Head Coach Don Flanagan: Flanagan is in his 12th season at New Mexico. His school and career coaching record is 252-111.
