LAS VEGAS (AP) - Wink Adams scored a game-high 20 points to lead UNLV past San Diego State 68-61 in a Mountain West Conference game Tuesday night.

Brandon Heath led San Diego State (13-7, 2-4) with 20 points. Lorrenzo Wade scored 11 points and 11 rebounds and Jerome Habel added nine points and seven rebounds for the Aztecs.
After San Diego State led 25-23 at the break, the lead changed seven times.
UNLV eventually took the lead for good on Marcus Lawrence's 3-pointer with 14:05 left, 36-34. That was the start of a 17-3 run, giving the Rebels their largest lead at 50-37. The Aztecs cut the lead to 59-55 with 2:03 left, but came no closer.
The Rebels shot 23-of-64, or 36 percent, from the field. The Aztecs shot 27-of-60, or 45 percent.
