-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team opens 2007 and its Mountain West Conference schedule this week with a pair of road games at Utah on Thursday and at UNLV on Saturday. The Aztecs will be playing their first outings away from San Diego for the first time in over a month, as the team ended a six-game homestand with a runner-up finish in the San Diego Surf `N Slam Classic at Cox Arena, Dec. 28 and 30. SDSU, which is 7-4 overall entering the week, saw its six-game win streak come to an end last Saturday, as it fell to No. 17/16 George Washington, 76-42. Utah, meanwhile, is 7-6 on the year and has won six of its last eight games after beginning the season 0-2. UNLV is 6-7 and dropped its MWC opener Wednesday at TCU.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the second year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 242-176 in 15 seasons, while she is 161-111 in 10 campaigns at SDSU.

-Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott: Elliott is in her 24th season at Utah. She boasts a school and overall record of 497-199.

-Utah Series History: Utah leads 24-10 with the last SDSU win in SLC coming back in 1995 (Last: Utah def. SDSU, 78-43, on Feb. 11, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah).

-UNLV Head Coach Regina Miller: Miller is in her ninth season at UNLV, boasting a record of 159-95. Her 14-year career head coaching record is 219-195.
