TEAM NOTES
- San Diego State's 12-point margin of victory is its largest ever in a Mountain West Conference game and its best in a conference tournament contest since beating Western Athletic foe Fresno State 71-57 on March 8, 1995, in Albuquerque, N.M. The Aztecs' best previous margin of victory in MWC history came against BYU (11 pts.) in 2002 (also a quarterfinal game - W, 62-51).

-SDSU set two school Mountain West Conference tournament records and tied another. The Aztecs set a high for field goal attempts with 68 (prev. 65 vs. UNLV in 2003), which ranks fourth in the overall league record book. SDSU also had its best ever performance on the offensive glass in an MWC championship game, pulling down 24 offensive rebounds (prev. 18 vs. Wyoming in 2001). The 24 O-boards are 2005-06 season high.
SDSU tied the school best in an MWC tourney contest for fewest turnovers with seven (also vs. Utah in 2004, Wyoming in 2002). The seven turnovers are one more than the overall MWC tournament record of six set by BYU in 2000. The seven turnovers tie the Aztecs' season best in 2005-06 with their performance against Southern Mississippi on Nov. 20, 2005.

- SDSU led wire-to-wire for the fourth time this season and the first time since Jan. 18 at TCU.
