SDSU Women's Hoops Looks For Fourth-Straight Victory Sunday Versus Saint Mary's

-Webcast/Live Video: Bill Earley (play-by-play) and Tammy Blackburn (analysis) will have the live audio broadcast on www.goaztecs.com. A live video feed will also be available via the Aztecs' official website for the match-up with the Gaels.

-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team will look for its first four-game winning streak since the 2000-01 season, as the Aztecs play host to Saint Mary's in a Sunday afternoon game at Cox Arena. SDSU has won each of its last two outings in overtime, with the most recent being a 70-68 victory over Cal Poly on Thursday. In that contest, the Aztecs rallied from a 10-point deficit and overcame 28 turnovers and a 52.2 percent performance at the line to surpass their win total from last season. The team is playing its final contest Sunday afternoon before taking an 11-day break for final exams.

Saint Mary's meanwhile, comes to San Diego with a 2-5 record, including wins over Cal State Northridge and Miami (Fla.). The Gaels will be a week removed from their most recent game, a 75-67 loss to Pacific.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the second year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 239-175 in 15 seasons, while she is 158-110 in 10 campaigns at SDSU.

-Saint Mary's Head Coach Paul Thomas: Paul Thomas is in his first season as the head coach at Saint Mary's. Thomas has a school and Div. I head coaching record of 2-5. He spent the last 12 seasons as head coach at Cal Poly Pomona, where he was 235-108.

-Saint Mary's Series History: Saint Mary's and San Diego St. meet for the fourth time with the Gaels owning a perfect 3-0 record in the series. This is the second consecutive match-up between the two schools in San Diego. (Last: Saint Mary's def. SDSU, 52-47, on Nov. 21, 2003, in San Diego, Calif.).
