SAN DIEGO - Cox Communications and CSTV Networks, Inc. today announced an agreement for Cox to distribute CSTV and the mtn. sports networks in its San Diego market. Both networks will be available on Cox Digital Cable's Sports and Information tier beginning Friday, December 22, 2006.

Offering viewers live game telecasts and coverage of the San Diego State University Aztecs and other teams from the Mountain West Conference, the mtn., will be shown on Channel 320. CSTV will be available on Channel 319.

"Cox Communications has had a long-standing relationship with San Diego State University, including sponsorship of Cox Arena, and Aztecs coverage on Channel 4 San Diego," said Bill Geppert, Region Vice President and General Manger of Cox Communications in San Diego. "We're pleased to add CSTV and the mtn. to our lineup for sports fans in San Diego."

"I know I speak for President Weber and the entire Aztec family in saying that we are ecstatic that this day is finally here," said Jeff Schemmel, SDSU Director of Athletics. "More importantly, we are happy for our supporters and fans who will now enjoy more Aztec sporting events on television than ever before."

Kim Carver, Vice President and General Manager of the mtn., said "I'm thrilled to welcome Cox Communications to our growing list of distribution partners and look forward to serving sports fans in San Diego. In less than four months the mtn. has developed an aggressive schedule of high-quality sports programming and has now reached agreements with 17 separate providers reaching MWC fans in eight states. We have made tremendous progress and our growth continues."

"The combination of CSTV and the mtn. will provide Aztec fans the most in-depth coverage ever available of the teams and sports they care about most," said Brian Bedol, President and CEO, CSTV Networks, Inc. "Through our agreement with the Mountain West Conference, we will continue to work for San Diego State and the other schools in the conference to provide support, creative new media platforms and promotion."

The mtn. covers football, basketball and more than 200 men's and women's Olympic sports contests from Mountain West Conference teams, including San Diego State University and BYU.

Launched on September 1, the mtn. is bringing viewers MWC athletics across multiple sports. This year's preliminary schedule includes 165 games, including 30 football games, 75 men's basketball games, 23 women's basketball games, conference championships and men's and women's Olympic sports. Fans can also see coaches' shows, pre- and post-game analysis, and news about conference teams, players and more. The mtn. is jointly owned by Comcast and CSTV and managed by Comcast SportsNet.

The MWC is comprised of nine Division I-A institutions: Air Force Academy, Brigham Young University, Colorado State University, San Diego State University, TCU, UNLV, University of New Mexico, University of Utah and University of Wyoming.

Cox Communications offers the widest array of news, entertainment and sports programming to its customers, and offers more programming in high definition than any other video provider in San Diego. The addition of CSTV and the mtn. on the Cox Digital Cable lineup will allow college sports enthusiasts in San Diego to follow SDSU men's and women's athletics, as well as other sports programming.
