PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - The San Diego State doubles team of Eliska Krausova (Prague, Czech Republic) and Sisse Nielsen (Alleroed, Denmark) competed on Tuesday in the qualifying round of the Riveria/ITA All-American Championships presented by Fila. The Aztec duo, ranked 43rd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) preseason poll, lost a close match to Stanford's No. 44 tandem of Lejla Hodzic and Jessica Nguyen, 9-7, at Riviera Tennis Club.

Krausova and Nielsen will move into the consolation bracket with the pairings to be announced Wednesday. The twosome opened the season last weekend, recording a pair of victories in the SDSU Fall Tennis Classic.

The Riviera/ITA All-American Tennis Championships are the first of three collegiate tournaments which comprise the women's grand slam along with the ITA National Indoor Championships in November and the NCAA Championships next May.
