SAN DIEGO - Rowers from the San Diego State crew team will participate in the Row for the Cure this Sunday at Mission Bay Aquatic Center. The event will raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

The novice boats will make their fall season debut at the Row for the Cure. All three boats will compete at 9:10 a.m.

"This is a very talented group of novices," assistant coach Colin Truex said, "They have really come together over these last few weeks and have demonstrated the focus and determination to improve everyday to win on race day. The Row for the Cure is a great way to start their season because we get to see our local competition and compete for a great cause. I am excited to see how they do!"

For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs.
