2003 Head of the American Flashback
The last time the San Diego State crew team participated in the Head of the American was the 2003 season.
The Aztec "A" boat finished in eighth place in the 6K race with a time of 19:10, seven seconds behind Sacramento State's "B" boat.
SDSU's "B" boat finished in 19:21, good enough for 10th place, six second behind 11th-place Stanford, while the "C" boat tied for 13th with Sacramento State's "C" boat at 20:19.
"I'm pleased with the results," then first-year head coach Jennifer Zebroski said after coaching her first collegiate race. "This weekend was a good start to our season and it's great to have a starting place, a place to jump off from, going into the rest of the season.
California won the race with a time of 17:44, just beating out USC's "A" boat (17:46).
