SEATTLE - San Diego State's late rally came up a bit short and the Aztecs had to settle for a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Washington in Seattle on Friday night.

SDSU (7-5-2, 3-2-1 Pac-10) had five shots in the overtime sessions, but failed to get on the scoreboard.

Senior All-American goalkeeper Tally Hall made two saves, including a stop on a penalty shot by the Huskies' Jo Jo Katz in the 59th minute for his fifth shutout of the season.

Although the Aztecs were outshot, 20-6, for the match, Washington (9-5-1, 2-5-1 Pac-10) managed only two shots on goal. SDSU's defense of senior Ryan Reott, sophomores Danny Ortiz and Dennis Sanchez, and freshman Nick Cardenas played well, keeping the Huskies' long shots well away from the net.

Cardenas had two shots to lead the Aztec offense, while juniors Kraig Chiles and Freddy McDonald each had a shot on net.

SDSU will continue its stay in the Pacific Northwest with a match at Pac-10 foe Oregon State at 1 p.m. Sunday.

MEN OF THE MATCH: Senior tri-captain Raul Bautista and freshman Evan Toft earned Co-Man of the Match honors for their brilliant play in the midfield.
