SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's and women's basketball 2006-07 single-game tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, Oct. 23. In addition, three men's basketball mini-plans will also be available.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets as early as 8:30 a.m. Monday morning by visiting the Aztec Center ticket office on campus or via Ticketmaster at (619) 220-TIXS or www.ticketmaster.com at 9 a.m. Tickets are also available at the Cox Arena box office beginning at 10 a.m.
Those wishing to purchase season tickets or one of the three SDSU men's basketball mini-plans are encouraged to visit the Aztec ticket office at Qualcomm Stadium Window E or by logging on to www.goaztecs.com.
The trio of mini-plans feature a variety of games. The Aztec CaliFournia Pack includes SDSU home games vs. UC San Diego (Nov. 15), California (No. 18), UC Riverside (Nov. 21) and San Diego (Nov. 29) for $60.
The December SLAM Plan gives fans the opportunity to attend both San Diego SLAM games, which will include Oklahoma State vs. Ball State and the Aztecs playing host to Arizona. In addition to tickets to the SLAM, fan will receive half-priced tickets to the remaining December home contests against Campbell (Dec. 12), Loyola Marymount (Dec. 16) and Lafayette (Dec. 30). The SLAM Plan is $75.
The third and final mini-plan, the Mountain ConqWest 6-Pack, consists of six games against Mountain West Conference schools as SDSU looks to defend it 2005-06 MWC championship. Included in the plan are games against Wyoming (Jan. 3), New Mexico (Jan. 17), Utah (Jan. 27), Air Force (Feb. 6), UNLV (Feb. 13) and Brigham Young (Feb. 24) for $90.
The men return four starters off a team that finished at 24-9, won the Mountain West Conference regular season and tournament titles and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Included in the group of returning starters is 2006 MWC Player of the Year and Associated Press honorable mention All-American Brandon Heath, second team all-conference member Mohamed Abukar and letterwinners Kyle Spain and Richie Williams.
The women welcome nine newcomers and return six letterwinners, including starters Shanna Demus, Desiree Johnson and Tamika Lipford.
The San Diego State men's team opens its season with an exhibition contest against Point Loma Nazarene on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The women's squad will play the Arizona Venom in a Nov. 7 exhibition game set for 7 p.m. Meanwhile, both games will be played at Cox Arena.
