FULLERTON, Calif. - San Diego State continued its winning ways at the Hawthorne Suites Fullerton Invitational with a 3-0 (30-23, 30-16, 30-25) victory over Lipscomb at Titan Gym on the Cal State Fullerton campus. With the win, SDSU moves into the championship match of the tournament against the host school this evening at 7:30 p.m.

San Diego State (6-6) had four players finish in double figures in kills led by senior Melanie Greene (16), who also had a dozen digs to complete her sixth double-double effort of the season and fifth in the last six matches. Greene hit .538 over the three games, an individual Aztec high for 2006.

Middle blocker Lindsey Mahan had her second straight excellent outing with 11 kills and a .320 attack percentage. Audra Dent matched Mahan's kill total and also contributed a match-high five blocks. She also set her SDSU career high with four service aces.

In addition to that trio, freshman Stephanie Darnall chipped in with 10 kills and seven digs while hitting .318. Libero Aime Cordeiro led all players with 17 digs as did setter Leah Lathrop with 43 assists.

Lipscomb (3-7) was led by Jessica Turner, who had 11 kills and five digs, and was the lone player on her team to end the night in double figures in kills.

As was the case against Penn Friday evening, SDSU led the match in almost all statistical categories including kills (54-35), assists (48-33), service aces (80-2) and blocks (7-4). The Aztecs turned in a .307 attack percentage while holding the Lady Bisons to a .105 hitting percentage.

San Diego State will look to extend its current win streak to three when it faces the Titans later this evening. Following play in Fullerton, the Aztecs will resume Mountain West Conference play with a match against 19th-ranked Brigham Young on Thursday (Sept. 21) at 7:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym.
