SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Director of Athletics Jeff Schemmel announced the promotions of five members of the athletic department staff. Jen Daniels has been named Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Compliance and Jamie McConeghy and Darin Wong have been named Assistant Media Relations Directors. Promotions have also taken place in the event management department as Joe Erbland has been promoted to Associate Director for Facilities and Operations and Carlos Basulto has been named Assistant Director for Facilities and Operations.

Daniels, in her second year at San Diego State, will oversee the athletic department's compliance program. She takes over for Jenny Bramer who is now the university's Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator.

Before coming to San Diego State, Daniels served as Director of Compliance at the University of Evansville where she monitored a 14-sport Division I program. The College of St. Scholastica graduate began her career as a women's soccer coach before entering the compliance field. She spent six seasons as the head coach at Western Illinois University.

McConeghy makes the move to Assistant Media Relations Director after spending the last two years as a media relations assistant. A 2003 graduate of SUNY Brockport, during his tenure he has been the primary contact for softball, women's crew, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, women's cross country and track and the secondary contact for women's basketball. This season, he will handle men's soccer and continue to be the softball sports information director and secondary contact for women's basketball.

Similar to McConeghy, Wong becomes an Assistant Media Relations Director following two years as a media relations assistant. He will handle the Aztecs' media efforts for men's basketball and women's cross country and track. Wong, a graduate of San Diego State in 2004, has served as the primary contact for the swimming and diving team, men's and women's tennis, women's water polo and the co-contact for men's basketball and men's soccer.

Erbland, a graduate of Bethany College, is entering his seventh year at SDSU and has served as the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations, while Basulto, a 2003 graduate of San Diego State, is beginning his fourth year and has been an Event Management Assistant for Facilities and Operations before being promoted.
