SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team kicks off the Chuck Long era Tuesday with the opening of spring drills. The team will hit the field 15 times with 11 single-day practices and four intrasquad scrimmages over the next month.

All practices and scrimmages will be closed to the public with the exception of three dates. On Wednesday, March 29, all San Diego State students are invited to attend practice, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Aztecs' on-campus practice facility. Three days later, the team will play host to an SDSU faculty and staff day for the team's second scrimmage on Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. Students, faculty and staff must bring their SDSU Red ID cards to be admitted.

Spring workouts conclude Saturday, April 15, with the Red & Black game, at 10 a.m. at Torrey Pines High School. This year's spring finale will be open to the general public free of charge.
