OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The San Diego State swimming and diving team set a school record in a relay for the second straight day on Thursday at the Mountain West Conference Swimming and Diving Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Aztecs moved up a spot to eighth place with 77 points on day two of the four-day meet, 12 points ahead of ninth-place Air Force.
The team of junior Kimberlee Frith, freshman Kendal Twilling, senior Emily Schmied and senior Samantha Peters finished the 200 freestyle relay in 1 minute, 36.51 seconds, three-hundredths faster than the previous record (1:36.54) set by Peters, Caitlin Friedhoff, Tamarah Binek and Adrienne Conte at last year's MWC championship meet.
